The role is to create visually compelling and engaging content by styling home furnishing products for photography or videography specifically for social media platforms. Your job is to capture the attention of the target audience, showcase the products in an appealing way, and convey the brand’s message effectively. Here are some key responsibilities and tasks associated with this role.
- Concept Development: Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts and ideas for the photoshoots as per marketing calendar that align with the brand’s aesthetic and target audience. Understand the goals of the shoot and translate them into visual concepts and themes.
- Product Selection: Select the home furnishing products from the collection to be featured in the photoshoot. Consider the brand’s style, target audience, and the desired message to be conveyed. Ensure that the products chosen are visually appealing, on-trend, and showcase the brand’s unique selling points.
- Styling and Set Design: Create visually appealing and cohesive setups by arranging and styling the home furnishing products in a way that enhances their features and captures attention. Pay attention to details such as colour coordination, composition, lighting, and props to create visually appealing and on-brand imagery.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends in home decor and furnishings. Keep track of popular styles, colour schemes, and design concepts that resonate with the target audience on social media platforms. Incorporate these trends into the photoshoot styling to ensure relevancy and engagement.
- Props and Accessories: Select and incorporate props and accessories that complement the home furnishing products and add visual interest to the compositions. These can include items like pillows, plants, artwork, and other decorative elements that enhance the overall aesthetic.
- Collaboration: Work closely with photographers, chief creative officer, design manager and other members of the creative team to ensure a cohesive vision and execution of the photoshoot. Collaborate on the positioning of products, lighting, angles, and overall composition to create visually appealing and impactful imagery.
- Attention to Detail: Pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that the styling elements are well-arranged, free of imperfections, and properly showcased. Make necessary adjustments during the shoot to achieve the desired aesthetic and ensure that the products are presented in the best possible way.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency with the brand’s visual identity and guidelines throughout the photoshoot. Ensure that the styling reflects the brand’s tone, values, and target audience. Convey the brand’s message and unique selling points through the visual presentation of the products.
- Post-Production Collaboration: Collaborate with the post-production team to ensure that the final images or videos are edited and retouched in a way that aligns with the original concept and desired outcome. Provide input and guidance on any necessary adjustments or enhancements.
- Social Media Optimization: Stay informed about the best practices for social media content, including image sizes, aspect ratios, and other technical requirements. Optimize the visual content to be easily shareable and visually impactful on various social media platforms.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience as stylist in related filed.
- Degree/diploma in Textile design, Interior design, Visual merchandising, Styling or related field.
- Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and able to multitask.
